The day I’m typing this post, has been quite busy: we inoculated our first shiitake mushrooms into a log along with the coffeine grounds we’ve collected with our pink oyster mushrooms in the eco-feminist public garden of Szeszgyár. I met the fungal network about a month ago for the first time, since then, the mycelia has completely taken oover my soul. Having met the different mushroom cultivating techniques — such as the substrate-preparatory disinfection process, the log-inoculation part and the fruiting period I can refer to myself as an amateur, yet enthusiastic mycologist. It is a side project which I absolutely enjoy & intend to research further in the future. I am especially interested about fungi related art projects development and mycelia-based biofabrics/mycelia leather.
